This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your Yert, LLC ("Yert", "we", "us", or "our") account, what happens when you do, and how we handle your data afterwards. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account in either of the following ways:

• In the app: where available, use the account deletion option in your account or profile settings.
• By email: send a request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request to ensure we are deleting the correct account.

3. What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize:

• Your account profile information (such as name, email address, and phone number)
• Preferences and settings associated with your account
• Content and activity history tied to your account, except where retention is required as described below

4. Data We May Retain

We may retain certain information after account deletion where necessary to:

• Comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations
• Resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
• Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

Any retained data is kept only for as long as necessary for these purposes and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Timeline

We aim to process verified account deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may persist for a limited additional period in backups before it is fully removed in the ordinary course of our backup cycle.

6. Effect of Deletion

Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to it and to any data, history, or content associated with it, and this information generally cannot be recovered. If you wish to use our Services again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
